02 Day Red Centre Adventure Camping Tour (Accommodation Upgrade Option) (ATA-RC1)

A 2 day small group camping (accommodation upgrade available) safari from Alice Springs to Uluru ( Ayers Rock) - Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) - Kings Canyon in Northern Territory Australia. Visit the Olgas, sunrise and base tour of Uluru (Ayers Rock) plus optional climb, visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre before returning to Alice Springs.
 
Daily Itinerary

Day #1 - Alice Springs to Kings Canyon & Uluru
Your Red Centre Adventure begins with a drive through the James and Waterhouse Ranges and the ancient Hugh and Finke River Systems on your journey to Kings Canyon. Upon arrival we take time to explore the spectacular North and South Walls, the 'Amphitheatre', 'Lost City' and the 'Garden of Eden'. (In summer, walks may be shortened due to extreme temperatures). After lunch, we travel on to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for our overnight stay in our private campsite. (LD)

Accomodation: Permanent Camp - Yulara.
Day #2 - Uluru to Alice Springs
It's an early start for one of the highlights of the tour - the Uluru sunrise. Enjoy a walk around the base exploring the mysterious rock formations and Aboriginal art sites while watching the changing light on the desert or you can choose to climb Uluru. We visit the red domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and learn about the significance of this spiritual place. (passengers may leave the tour at Ayers Rock Resort). After lunch, we depart for Alice Springs viewing the rugged desert scenery along the way. (BL)

Accommodation
Standard Camping: With the basic price of $345 + Park fee - Passengers have permanent camping, permanent cooking facilities and purpose-built fire pits, screened eating areas, share showers and toilets.

Permanent Campsites - have permanently erected tents (multi-share), permanent cooking facilities and purpose-built fire pits, screened eating areas, share showers and toilets.

* Upgrades – 2 star rooms feature: air conditioning, tea/coffee (no double beds).
* Upgrades – 3.5 star feature: as above plus fridge, TV, in-house movies & minibar.

Note: Tents are multi-shared and those travelling alone will be paired with a passenger of the same sex.
Baggage Allowance
Personal luggage is limited to an overnight bag of max 15kgs and a day pack.

Transportation
Toyota Coaster mini-bus - (max 22 seats) or Mitsubishi Rosa mini-bus (max 24 seats) - front facing air-conditioned vehicle. We use our coaches in locations where there are large driving distances on sealed roads as the larger vehicles provide greater comfort. In all other circumstances, we focus on providing a small group experience with an average maximum group size of 16.
