02 Day 4WD Kakadu Camping Safari from Darwin Northern Territory (ATA-NTK2)

A 2 day small group camping safari to Mary River Wetlands, Maguk, Ubirr, Jim Jim & Twin Falls. Look for ‘crocs’ and other abundant wildlife on our private river cruise from Darwin Northern Territory
 
Daily Itinerary

Day #1 - Darwin to Kakadu
We view wildlife at the Mary River Wetlands on a crocodile and wildlife cruise. After lunch, we visit Bowali Visitor Centre and spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Ubirr Rock where the Aboriginal rock art dates back an estimated 20,000 years. Overnight camp in Kakadu National Park. (LD)

TROPICAL SUMMER ITINERARY (Dec - Mar)(No boat transfer fee):
* Mary River Wildlife Cruise
* Nourlangie Rock
* Nocturnal walk
* O/night Kakadu NP.

Day #2 - Kakadu to Darwin
Our first stop is the awesome Jim Jim Falls located deep within striking escarpment country, where we walk to the base of the falls, enjoying the tranquillity of this beautiful area. After lunch, we head to Twin Falls - Here we join a National Park operated boat and boardwalk experience up the stunning gorge to the waterfall where you can relax on the sandy bank before travelling back to Darwin. Important Notes

Accommodation
Permanent Campsites - have permanently erected tents (multi-share), permanent cooking facilities and purpose-built fire pits, screened eating areas, share showers and toilets.

Note: Tents are multi-shared and those travelling alone will be paired with a passenger of the same sex.
Baggage Allowance
Personal luggage is limited to an overnight bag and a day pack. Most Darwin accommodation will be happy to store any excess luggage you may have, some do charge a small fee. We recommend that your store valuables in the safety deposit at your Darwin accommodation.

* Park fee of $12.50 & $10 fuel levy is payable on morning of departure.

Suitability
Maximum Walks: Hikes up to 6-8kms per day. A reasonable level of fitness is required as there will be some walking to view places of interest. Suitable for soft adventures with a passion for bushwalking and exploring the wonders of Kakadu region.
Tour Finishes at
Darwin approx 6.00-7.00pm.
Transportation
4WD Mitsubishi or Isuzu- 16, 17 or 20 seats front facing air-conditioned vehicle. Our 4WD’s (16 - 20 seaters) have spacious cabs with ample legroom and forward facing seats for increased comfort and a better view for greater appreciation of the scenery.

Sturdy walking shoes (ankle high), swimming gear, hat & sunscreen, water bottle, towel & toiletries, Insect repellent, camera & film, pillow, sleeping bag (can be hired for $15)
